This study was performed to determine the attitude of women to antibiotic use and factors affecting the antibiotic use in women. The sample group of the study was comprised of 217 women who were selected by a random-sampling method. Most of the women stated that they used the antibiotics prescribed by a physician; nearly half of them used the antibiotics improperly and also a quarter of them used antibiotics to treat viral infections. The proper use of drugs improved with the increasing educational and income levels. Erratic antibiotic usage was common in women.
