Abstract

The study examines and performs critical analysis of "cluster" definitions, made by both foreign and Russian researchers. It also gives an insight into the phenomenon of "knowledge-based cluster" and provides the authors’ idea of this term. The triad approach that is used and developed by the theory of dynamic information systems serves as a methodology for defining the term "knowledge-based cluster".
