Abstract

Research on strategic management has generally been concerned with assessing the performance outcomes of organizations and their antecedents. The overarching goal for a firm is generally expressed as a search for the factors that lead to gaining competitive advantage in the market. This study will review the linkage between the organizational systems in which firms are managed and firms’ primary business objective of producing excellent performance level. In order to generate a good and sound business strategy, firms need to initially examine and understand their internal organizational strengths and/or weaknesses. Indeed by having information on the relative degree of importance of the relationship between organizational systems and performance, in particular organizations will be able to prioritize their strategies accordingly.
