Abstract
The connectivity between urbanization, youthfulness and crime have been widely documented in research prior to and after Chicago School synergization. However, in the technological age, the varied dimension of connection and the changing nature of such relationships has received little attention. With the unabated spread of Internet technology globally there is a concomitant steady increase in crime participation mostly affecting the youths across notable cultures. The vulnerability of this section to economic upheavals attendant of the global environment constitute potent destabilizer and decelerator to the expected progress in the developing nation as Nigeria. This situation also present a bleak future for both e-relationship and the expansion of opportunities knitted with the global economy. Consequently, this study theoretically considers the ecological factors promoting youth crime affinity in the internet community in Nigeria and situates this within the framework of disorganization thesis of Clifford Shaw and Henry McKay. It finally proffers a technical driven solution to the challenges of youth’s crime participation.
