The purpose of the case study is to help a company improving quality control in their bottled mineral drinking water production process. By analyzing factors contributing to the defects during production process, defects on end products can then be minimized. Few methods are used in the study, e.g.: Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). SPC is used to measure and control product quality to fit with the specified standards. FMEA is used to identify failure mode and how to prevent their re-occurrences. By using SPC and FMEA, some recommendations are made to help company minimize their product defects.
