Abstract

Among factors which determined the choice of economic strategy just before the dissolution of the USSR and in the early 1990's, the study mentions subjective, sociocultural and “external” factors as the most important ones. Researcher finds the necessity fora nalysis of experience of “catch-up” modernization’s various models implementation, impossibility of further using previous, monetarist schemes.
