Abstract

The interest of young people in formal education should be secured early if the purpose of schooling in inculcating skills and know-how is to be achieved. Mathematics being serious and abstract in nature can be enjoyed by children if their nature is taken into cognizance in the planning and delivery of classroom lessons.
