Abstract

Doxorubicin (DOX) is an effective chemotherapeutic agent used to treat colorful cancers but is limited by its cure‐dependent cardiotoxicity. This review discusses the crucial mechanisms involved in DOX‐ convinced cardiac damage, including oxidative stress, intracellular calcium dysregulation, mitochondrial dysfunction, AMPK signaling inhibition, apoptosis, and bloodied autophagy. Clinical instantiations range from subclinical changes to heart failure, with early signs similar as reduced left ventricular ejection bit and increased cardiac biomarkers. Several pharmacological and natural agents including dexrazoxane, metformin, statins, sildenafil, vitamin E, and curcumin have shown cardioprotective goods by targeting these pathways. Understanding these mechanisms and treatments is essential to reduce cardiovascular pitfalls and ameliorate patient issues during DOX‐ grounded chemotherapy.
