Abstract

Dr K.C Patel medical college is tertiary care centre of Bharuch District with population in majority of tribals and poor socioeconomical residing hilly area, Breast cancer remains a leading cause of morbidity and mortality among women worldwide. Mastectomy, a common surgical intervention for breast cancer, significantly impacts patients' quality of life and long‐term health outcomes. This study aimed to evaluate the surgical outcomes and quality of life in breast cancer patients following mastectomy with three years of follow‐up. We conducted a prospective cohort study involving 250 breast cancer patients who underwent mastectomy. Data on surgical outcomes, quality of life and follow‐up assessments over three years were collected and analyzed using appropriate statistical methods. Preliminary findings suggest an improvement in the quality of life scores over the three‐year period post‐mastectomy, despite varied surgical outcomes. Detailed results will be discussed in the full text. Understanding the long‐term surgical outcomes and quality of life in breast cancer patients post‐mastectomy.
