Ovarian cysts represent a prevalent condition among women of reproductive age, with varying etiologies that can significantly impact a patient's quality of life and reproductive health. The main objective of the study is to find the clinical outcome of ovarian cyst in a Tertiary care hospital. This study is a prospective observational study focused on evaluating the clinical outcomes of women diagnosed with ovarian cysts. The study was conducted in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at ESIC Medical College and Hospital, Kalaburagi, Karnataka during May 2022 to October 2022. Patients on initial presentation underwent a clinical assessment comprising of history and clinical examination. This was succeeded by laboratory investigations imaging studies, Diagnostic tests highlighted in the study protocol. Patients’ history including age, menopausal status, severity of experiences and their medical histories were taken, basic information from clinical data. The study included 123 patients with a mean age of 35.4±8.2 years. Of these, 63.4% were pre‐menopausal and 36.6% were post‐menopausal. The majority of patients (69.1%) presented with abdominal pain, while 22.8% reported menstrual irregularities. Management of ovarian cysts in the study cohort showed that 36.6% of patients underwent surgical intervention, while 63.4% were managed conservatively. Among those who had surgery, 66.7% underwent laparoscopic cystectomy and 33.3% required open laparotomy. It is concluded that ovarian cysts, particularly when benign, can be effectively managed through a combination of conservative and surgical approaches, with ultrasound serving as a reliable diagnostic tool.
