Abstract
This research examined the practice of project management in facilitating construction project’s completion in Malaysia. Data from small (G2), medium (G4) and large (G7) construction firms were analysed using the Structural Equation Modeling’s (SEM), Partial Least Square (PLS). The result showed similarities and differences of practices between the three sized firms. Large firms seem to be executing more elements of project management than the small and medium sized firms and this seem to lead to higher completion estimations. In summary, Malaysian construction firms are users of project management framework, amidst differing importance level. It is proposed that the government pushes the right button to centralise and formalise project management usage by construction firms of all sizes.
