Abstract
The present study is an effort to analyze the relationship between political culture and leadership in the context of Bangladesh. The study is basically based on analysis from various secondary data. In the analysis it has been found that leadership and political culture are the most important issue that can help the country to reach the pick of development. These are like the sailor of a ship and the wide sea. The fate of a ship in the wide sea depends on the efficiency of its sailor. Like that, the development of a country depends on the honesty and efficiency of its political leadership and the fairness of its political culture. In Bangladesh, dishonesty, autocracy and corruption characterize the political leaders and the political culture of `tit-for-tat game` is like a common practice for the leaders of major parties of all vistas which is not at all desirable for the institutionalization of democracy and development.
