Fault detection is a challenging task in the automatic control of hybrid systems. In this work a general framework for fault detection of hybrid systems is suggested. We present a methodology for detection of faults using diagnoser. This approach is applicable to a wide rage of systems since hybrid systems involve both continuous and discrete dynamics. The states of the hybrid system model reflect the normal and the failed status of the system components. The faults in our setting are modeled as either discrete or continuous (detrimental) state changes.
