Assessing and investigating the effectiveness of Greece`s three principally development-oriented agents within with the use of a non-parametric analytic technique for the time period 1977 – 1992 is attempted in this article. Furthermore, conclusions are drawn with reference to the impacts of the selected investment-oriented policies of their ownership status in force on economic results as well as on these banks` further evolutionary course.
