AB  - This study describes the technician career progression system in Kellogg, Malaysia. A set of competencies are required to be able to participate in the career progression driven by the technicians. To better understand the need of career progression, the outcomes expected of the technicians are discussed. Literatures show that it is clear that career progression is needed in organizations to promote a well-balanced work life and to value the talent in the employees. Theoretically, employee seeks for needs from the employers. Practically, a well-developed career progression will lead to loyalty and satisfaction. Study on manufacturing organizations with technicians will be able to give in-depth insight of this study.
