AB  - The study analyzes the leading expert points of view on the role and place of the “oil and gas factor” during the implementation of the modernization according to the Russian model. It is defined as the increasing importance of oil and gas complex in the socio-economic development of Russia and its geopolitical position. The study draws the conclusion about the importance of a priority accurate choice, the consideration of international and domestic experience in order to overcome the inhibition of modernization processes.
