AB  - The collapse of the Soviet Union the newly independent states of Central Asian region faced the problem to form and develop their own independent foreign policy. In this regard the US as a great power pursued its interests. In this study, we analyzed the main concepts and documents that affect the formation of the US strategy towards the Central Asian states. By analyzing key concepts and strategies the evolution of the US foreign policy and its main features were indicated.
