AB  - Human capital in particular region has its own specifics. In the research, the identified factors of formation and development of the human capital of the Chuvash Republic are detected, a model of the index of human capital in the region is offered. The strategic orientations of human capital formation on the basis of the requirements of sustainable innovation development of the region is suggested.
