AB  - Researchers hope to believe that the research makes a certain theoretical and practical contribution to the study of the formation of research competence among the students of &#147;5B011900 Foreign Language-Two Foreign Languages&#148; specialty. We have studied and identified skills comprising the core of the research competence. The principles of the development of educational process aimed at the formation of research competence of the above mentioned students have been highlighted. The model of future foreign languages teachers&#146; research competence formation has been developed; a system of tasks based on information and communication technologies has been suggested. Moreover, we offer a definition of the research competence of future foreign languages teachers as a complex and multifaceted concept that had not received the detailed consideration in the existing literature before.
