AB - Back-lane is a need for the municipality, particularly in the development of shophouses. However, the safety of the back-lane is still at an alarming level. This is not consistent with the Safe City concept emphasized by the Department of Town and Country Planning Peninsular Malaysia. Therefore, this study has been done to measure the safety level of shophouse’s back-lane by taking the views of the public, as well as owner/occupant/employee of shophouse.
