AB  - This study considers the aspects of formation of professional competence of a teacher in terms of design of the educational activity with account of the value component of the senior pupils’ personality as one of significant characteristics of a modern citizen. The study is aimed at investigating and developing the pedagogical conditions of formation of professional competence of a teacher by design of the educational activity with account of the value component of the senior pupils’. The reasoning presented in the study is meant for future pedagogues, teachers of all kinds of educational institutions, heads of educational institutions dealing with the issues of improvement of the teachers’ professional qualifications.
