AB  - The study substantiates the contingency of the theory and procedure of the cognitive-pragmatic modeling and linguo-axiological analysis of the paroemia semantics as a complex linguo-cultural symbol. The Russian paroemias are considered in terms of the value components of their semantics that is specified in the course of application of the researcher’s procedure of the cognitive-pragmatic modeling. The described procedure of analysis is based on a number of fundamental provisions concerning the categorical status of a value as a conceptual and pragmatic dominant of the paroemia meaning. In the course of description, the stereotypic configurations of the proverb semantics affecting the determination of the meaning implemented by paroemias are distinguished.
