AB - This study presents the efficient use of solar energy by operating Photovoltaic (PV) panels for the
powering of the 3-phase Induction Motor (IM) to pump the water. The main components of solar-powered
pump system are the solar panel inverter, 3-phase (IM) and circuit breaker to protection of the proposed system.
The proposed system implemented and simulation the application to give power from solar to (IM) to drive the
centrifugal Pump by converting the DC electric power generated from a PV panel to AC power using the
3-phase inverter. In the proposed system solar panel of 3 kW and 3-phase (IM) used is of 3 HP power rating.
The control strategy of the 3-phase inverter is used SPWM is carried out. The simulation of the proposed
system using MATLAB/Simulink Software.
