AB  - The most important demands for a power system is operating with a minimum cost with suitable
system constraints. The system constraints which kept within a satisfactory limits such as voltage magnitudes
of all load buses, real power, reactive power at each bus. This study proposed two optimization techniques: bird
swarm optimization and Genetic algorithm. These optimization techniques are implemented on IEEE 30 bus test
system. The model of proposed system is developed in the MATLAB and its simulated results have
demonstrated the satisfactory values.
