AB  - The development of science and technology increasingly popular in the society. Computer
technology is growing very rapidly according to the level of human needs to solve various of problems. One
of the rapid development of computer science is the field of data processing that is capable of processing data
and provide information to support decision, one of which is data mining. Data mining helps to extract patterns
from large data to be interpreted as human-readable information. A simple example of the use of data mining is
the recommendation system used in the recruitment of laboratory assistants by using the k-nearest neighbor
method. The training data is in the form of the grade from previous recruitment which will be used as a reference
in determining whether the candidate is declared accepted or not.
