AB  - This study considers an iterative method which is a nonlinear conjugate gradient method for solving unconstrained optimization problems. We propose a new conjugate gradient method satisfying sufficient descent condition when strong Wolfe line search is used. We then compare the new method against other known conjugate gradient methods. Numerical results show that the proposed method is efficient relative to the number of iteration and computational time.
