AB - In this study, a model predictive control algorithm based on rapid terminal contractive constraint is considered for the first time. The advantage of the proposed terminal contractive constraint is that while ensuring the stability of the closed-loop control system, the speed of system responsiveness convergence to the reference value is increased. To evaluate the performance, the proposed algorithm on a plate heat exchanger that has constraint input variables and states is implemented with dynamic discretization. The simulation results show the effectiveness of this approach in meeting the constraints, increase speed of convergence and improve the performance of the system.
