AB  - The present study included 160 patients of
fever with thrombocytopenia conducted at tertiary care
hospital in department of medicine between Oct, 2014
March, 2016. Study aim is to evaluate the clinical profile
of patients with fever and thrombocytopenia, attending
tertiary care hospital. Male to female ratio in the present
study was 2.3:1. The patients age ranged from 15-70 years
with mean age of 32.53 (±15.23) years. Out of 160 cases,
mortality noted in 12 (7.5%) cases, out of them 5 were of
dengue, 3 were of malaria, 3 were of viral fever
(unspecified) and 1 was of sepsis. Deaths were due to
multiorgan failure in all the 12 cases.
