AB  - Qualitative phytochemical analysis of the aqeous extract of <I>Pterocarpus erinaceous</I> indicated that it contains tannins, alkaloids, saponins, flavonoids, volatile oils and glycosides. Antifungal testing of the aqueos extract on moulds and dermatophytes shows antimycotic activity comparable to Griseofulvin at concentrations of &ge;40 mg mL<SUP>-1</SUP>.
