AB - Lymph nodes are organ and widely distributed in different
parts of the body where innate immune responses lead to acquired immunity where
autoreactive lymphocytes first encounter tissue-specific self-antigens and are
either tolerized or activated. Lymph nodes respond well to mitogens (Concanavalin
A) and alloantigens and stimulate the T-lymphocyte proliferation and activate
the IL-2 surface receptor for expression of IL-2 in vitro. The present
review aimed to discuss the pattern of expression of IL-2 and the effect of
Concanavalin A in lymph nodes.
