AB  - This study conducted between April 2008 to March 2009, aimed revision of ihtiyofauna of the Seyhan and Ceyhan river Basins, determined that 35 species and one sub-species belonging to <I>Anguillidae</I>,<I> Salmonidae</I>, <I>Cyprinidae</I>, <I>Nemacheilidae</I>, <I>Cobitidae</I>, <I>Clariidae</I>, <I>Siluridae</I>, <I>Cyprinodontidae</I>, <I>Poecilidae</I>,<I> Blenniidae</I> and <I>Percidae</I>. In this study, <I>Alburnus baliki</I> and <I>Cobitis levantina </I>was recorded for the 1st time in the Ceyhan river and <I>Nemacheilus namiri </I>in the Seyhan river Basins. Samples of <I>Capoeta turani</I> described in the Seyhan river Basin and <I>Capoeta erhani</I> described in the Ceyhan river Basin have been caught in large quantities and examined in different locations in these Basins and these species have been accepted as a synonym of <I>Capoeta barroisi</I>.
