AB  - Natural resources experts in the Semnan province in Iran were surveyed in order to explore their perception about the factors influencing the participation of beneficiaries in protection of pastures. The total population for this study was 59 experts in the Natural Resources Department in the Semnan province. The data was analyzed by using factor analysis technique. Based on the perception of the respondents and factor analysis, factors were categorized into 5 groups, namely policy making, social, economic, extension/education and psychological factors ordered by the magnitude of their impact.
