AB  - This study aims to improve students&#146;
understanding through audio visual media on the material
of rare animal diversity. This research uses classroom
action research using descriptive quantitative research
design. The results of the study include student activity in
cycle 1 reaches percentage 68% while in cycle 2 reaches
87.25%, student&#146;s understanding on cycle 1 reaches
average with student learning mastery is 54.05% and in
cycle 2 reaches average 83.78 with student&#146;s learning
mastery reaches 81.0%. It can be concluded that there is
an increase from cycle 1 and 2. This indicates that there
is an increase in student&#146;s understanding of the diversity
of rare animals through audio visual media in grade 4
elementary school students.
