AB - This study looked at how much students understand technical words in chemistry as a means of solving the problem of under-achievement of chemistry students at the secondary school level. The instrument of the study was a six-point scale questionnaire designed by the researcher for the purpose of the study. It was administered to 150 subjects from ten randomly selected schools in Ado and Moba Local Government Areas of Ekiti State. Results show that students perceived 20 of the 30 identified technical words/terms from the senior secondary school curriculum as difficult to understand.
