AB  - Family as institution refers to basic social institution, important to survival of a society comprising a system of interrelated social roles and norms organized around the regulation of sexual relations, rearing of children and structuring of kingship relationship. The study was conducted in three different parts of Faisalabad city. In each colony about 33 respondents were selected for the study respectively. The study shows that i.e. 88 percent respondents lived in male dominate family, A small ajority i.e. 46 percent normal emotions about joint family system. Consultation on various family matters from issue were i.e. 72 percent respondents consult with their family to educate the children. Majority of the respondents viewed that male and female are equal, 53 percent women have no any right to say about their marriages.
