AB  - The parameters of the lightning currents have been determined for the Southern regions of Russian Federation for the first time. The database of the characteristics of the on-land discharges has been composed on the basis of data from the thunder-detector LS 8000. The analysis of obtained results has been performed and the analytical dependencies for the distribution of the lightning currents established applying the mathematical methods.
