AB  - This study examined the usefulness of financial ratios in making investment decisions and also the vitality of the internet in publishing the results of such analysis. It reviewed existing commercial companies rating providers and consequently designed enhanced rating software based on the shortcomings discovered in the observed rating services. Published financial statements of public quoted companies in the Nigerian Stock Exchange were used as samples while PHP and MySQL were used to design the web-enabled software. The proposed rating software is user-friendly and use simple language in reporting the results of its ratings.
