AB  - Voice band modem operating at the rate of 56 Kbps is gaining popularity these days. This study presents computer-aided simulation and implementation of Data Mappers for V.90 digital modem transmitter. The Present work deals with the development of an efficient algorithm for Data Mappers used in V.90 digital modem transmitter, Corresponding assembly program development (source code generation), its simulation on simulator of Code Composer Studio and finally implementation of Data Mappers on Digital Signal Processor (DSP) have been discussed. Implementation parameter like total program execution time, data memory and program memory used for the present implementation has been presented.
