AB - Neighbor Replication on Grid (NRG) is one of the data replication techniques that provides high data availability and reliability in a distributed database systems. However, the primary concern for the technique is not only to provide high availability and reliability but also to boost up the performance of data replication: to minimize the response times and to maximize the throughput. This study proposed an analytical model based on M/G/1 queuing system by taking into account the inter site communication between them. In comparison to the other performance models, the proposed model produces minimum response time while providing maximum throughput.
