AB - The sturgeon fish (namely the sturgeon species Acipenser) have an important commercial value, it was originally called as red fish for its especial value. The studies targeted changes in the values of length and mass as well as production potential of various size and weight groups of Russian sturgeon 3 year olds when hatching them in the ponds of carp fish farms in a polyculture with herbivorous fish. The main results of researches, it is possible to note that the highest fish capacity when hatching in ponds is observed at 3 year of age Russian sturgeon in big size and weight group. The highest values of absolute and average daily gain during hatching in ponds are observed in 3 year of age Russian sturgeon of big size and weight group. When hatching the middle and small size and weight groups of 3 year of age the absolute and average daily gain are mainly determined by the original level of ponds’ fish capacity for Russian sturgeon.
