AB  - In the present study the effects of nutrition on serum acute phase reactants Haptoglobin (Hp), Serum Amyloid A (SAA) and α1-Acid Glycoprotein (AGP), inflammatory mediators (Tumor Necrosis Factor-α (TNF-α)), Interferon-γ (IFN-γ) and gangliosides (Total Sialic Acid (TSA)), Lipid Bound Sialic Acid (LBSA) and Protein Bound Sialic Acid (PBSA) were investigated. Blood samples were collected from the jugular vein of ninety apparently healthy ostriches and the concentrations of serum acute phase reactants, inflammatory mediators and gangliosides were measured.
