    abstract = {In this research, a similarity study of mixed convection flow over a heated vertical plate embedded
in Darcy-Brinkman saturated porous medium is presented. A computer code based on a fifth-order Runge-Kutta
scheme with the shooting method is developed to obtain numerical solutions for resulting dimensionless
governing equations. Afterward, we validated our computational code by comparing the numerical results to
those obtained analytically. Subsequently, we conducted a parametric study of all parameters involved in the
problem of heat transfer and flow. It is found that the increase of the mixed convection parameter, the
permeability and the fluid suction reduce the thickness of the thermal boundary layer.}
