    abstract = {In this study, we develop inspection technique for illicit drug detection based on optical
communication system. This technique based on optical transmitter, chemical fiber Bragg grating sensor and
optical receiver. The developed system detect and identified the concealed illicit drug. All samples are identified
by their spectral shift extracted from refractive index (absorption) variation. Classification of the samples is
achieved by using artificial neural network (LM) algorithm with rate of accuracy above 90%.}
