    abstract = {At present, there is an acute need in the
Republic of Kazakhstan for modernization of the beef
cattle breeding industry. The solution of this problem
assumes, along with the importation of highly productive
foreign selection breeds, the intensification of selection of
local breeds such as Auliekolskaya, that are well adapted
to climate conditions, the forage base and has a stable
immunity to diseases prevalent in the territory of the
Republic of Kazakhstan through the introduction of
modern highly effective scientifically sound technologies.
One of these DNA technologies is the Marker-Assisted
Selection (MAS) which allows accelerating the rates of
breeding and reducing financial costs in the
implementation of classical breeding activities. MAS
selection uses information on the phenotypic
manifestation of gene alleles responsible for quantitative
traits (candidate genes) in order to assess the genetic
potential of animal productivity in the early stages of
postnatal development.}
