    abstract = {For the purpose of modeling Discrete Event Systems (DES), a Petri net-based modeling framework called Dan/Petri Net (D/PN) is presented, working only with subnets and having a different enabling rule based on an arcs-counting function and non-boolean guards called dans. And Controlled D/PN is one extension developed to explain the modeling of multiple and simultaneous control (MSC) in DES through the fundamental MSC subnet and its notation convention, called valid MSC subnet  <SUP>c(<I>q</I>)</SUP> and its derivative subnet  <SUB>n</SUB><SUP>a(<I>q</I>)</SUP>. At the end  of  this paper  we  present  the  usage  of  Controlled  D/PN  in  the  MSC design for an D/PN model through MSC subnets.}
