    abstract = {After explaining the possible economical interest of fetal sex determination, the authors describe the development of the external genitalia of the bovine fetus. They explain that sex determination can be performed during two different periods of the pregnancy : an early period (from day 55 to day 65) and a late period (from day 80 to day 100). The sex determination technique using ultrasonography is described in detail. This technique was applied to 107 cows under farm conditions. Difficulties and possible errors and diagnosis are also mentioned.}
