A load-flow study was performed using IEEE 33-bus test system with three generation units. A comparative analysis was then conducted to investigate the enhancement of voltage at all buses and fall in line losses while integrating a Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) and Squirrel Cage Induction Generator (SCIG) into the radial distribution system. The test system was simulated using the ETAP software package. Simulation results showed a notably higher voltage at all buses and lower active and reactive power losses on integrating the variable speed wind generator than on integrating the fixed speed wind generator.
