The system of macroeconomic indicators cannot be considered as perfect, wherefore trend deviations are conventionally characterized by harmonic motion. This study covers a mathematical model of innovation waves, based on the metamorphosis model of G. Mensch. This model demonstrates correlation between technological development and economic growth. This model applies statistical data on GDP, real gross private domestic investment and personal savings. The model presented can be applied for studying of asynchronous business cycles. While the model is only basic, it needs to be further improved.
