However, there is still a void where extensive legalistic studies discussing this order should be, especially from the aspect of theoretical framework. In relation to this the purpose of this research is to debate the pros and cons of community service orders from the aspect of theoretical framework. This research finds that community service orders are based on rehabilitation theory and that they put the best interest of the child or juvenile first. The juvenile offenders will be integrated with society through community service orders and this process will simultaneously decrease the rate of recidivism and increase the potential for their rehabilitation.
