In this study a novel multi-channel multi-NIC based scheme is proposed for IEEE 802.11 ad hoc networks. The novel framework and function of multi-NIC management layer (MML) are described. Qualitative analysis results shows that the overall saturation throughput of the network is linearly increased with the number of NICs per node.
